Lansing Basement Finish

Project Overview

The goal was to create a space that didn't feel like a typical basement. The taller ceilings and use of strategic lighting help contribute to the open feel. Odd Fellows helped create a beautiful finished basement in Lansing. The open additional family room and kitchenette add a lot of wonderful usable space to the home. The dark wood flooring are a great contract to the lighter color on the wall and match nicely with the darker cabinets. The use of recessed can lighting contribute to the open feel. The customer wanted to use their old drafting table to display the architectural plans of their basement and it adds a nice touch and interesting focal point.

Project Goals

  • Create a luxurious space in the basement complete with kitchenette and wine storage.
  • Maximize the ceiling height throughout to make the space feel more open.
  • Keep the area bright through natural and artificial lighting.
