STEP-BY-STEP REMODELING PROCESS BREAKDOWN

Initial Consultation and Planning

Every successful remodel starts with a conversation.
 
We begin with a phone consultation to learn about your goals, budget expectations, and timeline. If it feels like a good fit, we schedule an in-home consultation where we review your space, discuss possibilities, and answer your questions. You will leave this stage with a clear understanding of how our design-build process works and what the next steps look like.
 
This step ensures we are aligned before moving forward.

Pre-Construction Planning

This is where our process truly sets us apart.
 
Before construction begins, we invest significant time in detailed planning. We gather measurements, assess structural considerations, discuss functionality, and begin building the framework for your remodel. Our team works through feasibility, preliminary budgeting, and scope clarity so that nothing is left to guesswork.
 
By the end of this phase, you will have confidence that your project is being built on a solid foundation, not assumptions.

Design & Selections

Now your vision starts to take shape.
 
Our in-house design team works closely with you to develop layouts, refine details, and create 3D renderings so you can see your project before it is built. We guide you through material selections including cabinetry, countertops, flooring, lighting, and fixtures. Every decision is documented and aligned with your overall budget.
 
This phase eliminates the uncertainty that causes change orders with many contractors. Everything is selected and planned before we move forward.

Fixed Pricing & Agreement

No vague estimates. No allowances that grow later.

Because of the work completed during the planning phases, we are able to present a fixed-price contract based on real selections and detailed plans. You will know your investment before demolition begins. We review the full scope, timeline, and expectations together so you can move forward with clarity.

Handyman vs Remodeling

Revise the process module to differentiate between service types:

  1. For the Handyman version, update headings and content to focus exclusively on small projects and odd jobs.
  2. For the Remodeling version, ensure the content speaks only to larger-scale renovation projects and does not reference handyman or odd jobs.

Completion & Follow-Through

We are not finished when the tools are packed away.
 
At the end of your project, we conduct a final walkthrough to ensure everything meets expectations. Your home is professionally cleaned and ready to enjoy. We also follow up at 6 and 12 months to make sure you still love your space.
 
With Odd Fellows Contracting, you also have priority access to our Odd Jobs handyman division for future needs. Our goal is to be your long-term remodeling partner, not just your contractor for one project.

01 | Tell Us What You Need
Start by submitting a request or giving us a call. Let us know what needs to be repaired, installed, or updated in your home. Our team will ask a few questions to understand the scope of the work and determine the best next step.
02 | Review the Scope and Schedule the Work
Once we understand the project, we will provide guidance on the expected work and schedule a time that fits your calendar. Many handyman projects can be scheduled quickly, depending on availability.
03 | Complete the Job
Our Odd Jobs team arrives on time, completes the work with care, and makes sure everything is working properly before we leave. The goal is simple: take care of the tasks around your home so you do not have to.
