Dewitt Kitchen Update

Project Overview

Better space utilization between the family room and kitchen to open up the segmented house more. This was a unique project where we kept most of the kitchen in place. The goal was to open up the wall between the kitchen and family room. This update required us to remove the pantry closet to create a walk-way between the rooms along with building a new pantry closet at an existing location in the dining space. Additionally, we moved a cabinet from the peninsula to the adjacent wall to allow for an island and to further open up the kitchen. We installed new countertops and added new portions of the floor that were affected by the changes. We installed a new sink, faucet, and cabinet hardware along with under-cabinet lighting and a new tile backsplash. With just some somewhat minor changes, the whole room feels completely transformed.
